Custom-designed, galvanized steel boat docks built to last — by a family that grew up on the water.
— Discover Aquamarine
We are a family-owned dock builder, working the Texas Highland Lakes since 1982. Our work begins with conversation — about the lake you live on, the family who'll use the dock, and the way you want to spend your summers for the next thirty years.
Every Aquamarine dock is custom-engineered, hot-dip galvanized, and finished by hand. We sign the welds, stand behind the work, and treat your shoreline the way we treat our own.

A few of the projects we're proud of. Every one is built by the same hands, on the same standard.
— Meet the Builder
Michael grew up framing docks alongside his father on Lake Travis in the early eighties. Forty years later, he's still on the water every week — measuring shorelines, welding frames, walking each project from kickoff to handshake.
"We don't build docks for a season. We build them for the grandchildren." — Michael Kuehl, Founder
— Why Aquamarine
Three generations of dock builders. Same family, same standard, four decades in.
Hot-dip galvanized substructure. Marine-grade welds. Built for Texas sun and lake levels.
We file with LCRA and the county on your behalf. You don't lift a finger.
Optional seasonal service and refinishing plans to keep your dock looking new.
The same team designs, builds, and finishes the work — no subcontracted handoffs.
— Our Process
We meet on your shoreline. We measure water depth, sun exposure, prevailing wind, and the way your family wants to use the lake.
You receive a written proposal with renderings, materials, schedule, and a fixed all-in price.
We file every permit with LCRA and the county. You sign once. We do the rest.
Steel arrives. The crew sets up on site. Most docks are in the water in 4–8 weeks.
We walk every weld, every cable, every finish with you. We don't leave until you're proud of it.
— What Families Say
These are placeholder quotes — easy to swap with your real reviews.
"Michael and his crew rebuilt our two-slip dock after a flood and it turned out better than the original. They handled the permits, the design, all of it. Five years later it still looks new."
"Three other builders ghosted us. Aquamarine showed up, listened, and gave us a real number on a real timeline. Best decision we made on the lake house."
"These guys are old-school. Hand-welded, signed off in person, came back twice on their own to fine-tune the lift. You don't get that kind of work anymore."
